Terms of Service

By using www.chargetrackr.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. If you use ChargeTrackr on behalf of somebody else, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for them.

These terms work together with the Privacy Policy, which explains what the service collects and what it publishes.

ChargeTrackr is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Tesla, Inc. Tesla, Supercharger, Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck are trademarks of Tesla, Inc., used here only to describe the vehicles and equipment the service reports on.

The leaderboard is not an official standing and confers nothing. Tesla publishes no leaderboard for its Free Supercharging promotion, so what you see here ranks only the cars whose owners chose to appear, scored by our own reading of the published rules. It has no bearing on whether you win anything from Tesla, and we award no prizes of our own.

You must be at least 13 years old to have an account. You may connect only a Tesla account that belongs to you or that you are authorised to use, and you may publish only cars you actually own or drive.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us as soon as you can if you believe someone else has access to it. Contact details are in section 12.

Your display name is visible to other people whenever you publish a car. Choose one you are comfortable being seen, and do not choose one that impersonates somebody else.

You keep ownership of your data. By publishing a car to the leaderboard you give us permission to display that car's name, your display name, its model and its yearly totals publicly, for as long as it is published. Unpublishing withdraws that permission and removes it from the site.

The names you give your cars are shown publicly when you publish them, so do not use a name containing anything you would not want a stranger to read.

Charging data comes from Tesla and is reproduced as faithfully as we can. It can still be wrong or incomplete, and there are known reasons for that:

• A session that matches no known Supercharger site is left out of the totals. Destination chargers correctly land there, but a Supercharger our dataset has not caught up with would make a total read low. The app tells you when this has happened to you.
• Tesla's published rules describe the 24-hour window for a trip in two different ways, so the Longest Trip figure uses the conservative reading of the two.
• Imports run on a schedule, so recent charging can take up to a day to appear, and longer if the connection to your Tesla account needs renewing.

Nothing here is a billing record. Use Tesla's own account for anything that has to be exact, including anything involving money or an entry into a Tesla promotion.

You agree not to:

• Try to reach data belonging to another user, or probe the service for weaknesses beyond reporting them to us in good faith
• Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site, or place unreasonable load on it
• Publish a car you do not own or drive, or submit deliberately false information to influence a ranking
• Impersonate another person, in your display name or anywhere else
• Use the service to break the law, or in breach of Tesla's own terms for your Tesla account

ChargeTrackr is free, is run as a personal project, and is provided without any guarantee of uptime. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or by a failure at Tesla, at our host or elsewhere. It depends on Tesla's API continuing to exist and to permit this use; if that stops, the service may stop with it.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be emailed to account holders before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

You may stop using ChargeTrackr at any time. Disconnecting Tesla deletes all imported vehicles and charging history, and you can delete the account itself from your account page, as the Privacy Policy describes.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 7, or where we are required to. Where it is reasonable to do so we will say why first.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that the figures it shows are accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent the law allows, ChargeTrackr and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunity, arising from your use of the service. Because the service is provided free of charge, total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to one hundred United States dollars.

Some places do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing in these terms removes a right you have that cannot be waived.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live somewhere whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, this does not take that right away.

ChargeTrackr does not have a published contact address yet. One will be added here once it is set up, and the date at the top of this page will change when it is.

You do not need one in order to leave. Deleting your account, and every vehicle and charging session attached to it, is a button on your account page and takes effect immediately.
